Vahan Bichakhchyan was chosen the Player of the Month in Ekstraklasa, the Polish Premier League. The player was bought in the winter transfer window by Pogoń Szczecin from the Slovak MSK Żilina and in the first three matches against Piast Gliwice, Zagłębie Lubin and Stal Mielec, he scored three goals for the new club (in the end, the last one was officially recorded as an own goal by the Stal goalkeeper Rafał Strączek), each time entering the field in the second half from the bench.
The choice of the Player of the Month of Ekstraklasa is made by the captains of eighteen league teams, and one vote belongs to fans in social media. In February, the most votes — eight were received by Bichakhchyan and the votes were cast for seven other players as well.
