Vahan Bichakhchyan scored his third goal in his third consecutive game in the Polish Ekstraklasa. And the third time he did it just minutes after entering the pitch as a substitute.
His team, Pogoń Szczecin, played away with Stal Mielec on Friday. After 90 minutes there was a goalless draw and then Bichakhchyan showed his best. He appeared on the pitch in the 76th minute and in the third minute of extra time he scored the winning goal. He decided to shoot from his left foot outside the penalty area, after which the ball went into the net.
Bichakhchyan is becoming more and more popular in Poland thanks to his shooting abilities.
The portal “Wirtualna Polska” wrote in the title of the match report: “The hero of Pogoń is still the same” and added:
“This is his eighth goal in Pogoń, five of which were scored in the sparring matches before the spring round of the season and three in the league”.
After Friday’s 1-0 victory against Stal, Pogoń is the new leader of the table with 43 points, having a point advantage over Lech Poznań, who will play the match in this league round only on Sunday.
